Doug CameronDoug Cameron
Founding Partner
The Cultural Strategy Group

Doug is a founding partner of The Cultural Strategy Group, a consulting firm that specializes in helping managers, entrepreneurs, and activists develop cultural strategies. He is co-author, with Doug Holt, of the forthcoming book "Cultural Strategy: Using Innovative Ideologies to Build Breakthrough Brands."

Cameron has developed brand strategies and campaign ideas for a wide range of clients, including Ben & Jerry's, Clearblue, Coca-Cola, Fat Tire beer, FOX Sports, Freelancers Union, Fuse Music Television, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Sprite, and Svedka vodka. He co-founded Amalgamated, an influential non-traditional advertising agency known for developing cultural content across multiple media platforms. He began his career at Cliff Freeman & Partners, one of the most lauded creative shops of its time.

He entered the world of marketing inadvertently: Travelling the world as a bagpiper, he was invited by David Ogilvy to perform at his French castle and Ogilvy insisted he take up advertising. Doug graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College. Born in Ottawa, Canada, Doug now lives in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
